100% Orange Juice v2.0 ~The Poppoing~ Preview

After weeks of extensive testing, we are proud to finally introduce our upcoming patch 2.0 for 100% Orange Juice.

In many ways, as befits the version number, this build finally encompasses our vision of how we always wanted 100% Orange Juice to be.

Changes:

– Added a new boss character, Big Poppo. Big Poppo has a 10x Player Level chance of appearing for non-Poppo players in place of another boss when encountering one on any map. Any stars lost to Big Poppo will be distributed between Poppo players in the game.

bosspoppo

– Added a new map: Poppo Paradise. On Poppo Paradise, all CPU characters will be Poppos. Poppo Paradise replaces all previous starting maps.

– Added a new field effect: Poppogeddon. Every 6 turns, all non-Poppo players are assaulted by Big Poppo. Poppogeddon has a 50% chance to steal another field event’s place when not chosen for the map.

– Added a new panel: P-panel. If a Poppo lands on P-panel, they will cast Ubiquitous on all non-Poppo players in turn (they do not need to carry Ubiquitous). If a non-Poppo player lands on P-panel, all Poppos in the game cast Ubiquitous on them.

– Using Ubiquitous on Kai now steals their player’s credit card info, instead of their wallet as previously.

Fixes:

– Corrected the tooltip for Ubiquitous to reflect the actual effect. New description: “Move to target unit’s panel. In addition, steal 10% x their level of their player’s soul.”

Barring any technical difficulties, version 2.0 ~The Poppoing~ will roll out on Steam very shortly. We are very excited to see the reception.

Download Press Kit with screenshots hereMarch 17, 2015– Independent game publisher Fruitbat Factory is proud to announce their next release, developer Tazigen Clock’s Action/Puzzle game ManaCollect is coming soon to Steam and other distributors.

ManaCollect is an action packed take on the classic game of Minesweeper. Two contestants compete on a grid based arena to collect hidden mana by following numbered hints and unleash special attacks to drain their opponents mana.

We love games with a unique tactical twist. When we saw ManaCollect, we thought this game is right up our alley. We’re happy to have a chance to bring this cute but intensive game to players worldwide.says Jakke Elonen, Project Lead.

Game features:

  • 4-chapter single player storyline
  • 10 playable characters
  • 4 difficulty settings
  • 2-Player local multiplayer
  • Dungeon and Tournament modes

ManaCollect will come priced at $6.99. The game will include Steam Trading Cards, Achievements and other Steam features. Game trailer can be seen on the Steam page.

“I see ManaCollect as an interesting mix of Minesweeper and fighting games. Instead of casually figuring out the locations of mana spots, now you have to run through the numbers as fast as you can before your opponents gets ahead and gathers enough mana to unleash her devastating attacks.” adds Ozhan Sen, Art Lead.

Version 1.7 Now Live

Changes:
– Added VAC support for multiplayer. VAC banned users will only be able to play with each other.

– Added Avatar customization:
A new tab called “Avatar” has been added under Player Info. It allows player to choose any of their unlocked characters and customize them with color options they have unlocked. This avatar is used in all their menus, and on the multiplayer lobby screen.

– New character hair colors added:
4 new hair colors have been added for each regular character (not the unlockable NPC/boss characters). One of them can be unlocked for each by playing 10 multiplayer games with said character. 3 others can be acquired as drops from multiplayer games.

– Players can now save custom Decks:
A deck wheel with 3 numbers and a save button has been added on the deck screen. To use it, create the deck you want and press “S”, then any of the three slots to save the deck. 3 different decks can be saved for each character to allow for maximum customization and fine tuning. Create your ultimate decks!

– New difficulty settings added:
Campaign screen now has an option to choose from 3 difficulty levels: Casual, Normal and Extreme. Each episode is marked with a different colored crown to signify the difficulty with which you have cleared it (Green – Casual, Red – Normal, Purple – Extreme). Clearing a map again at a higher difficulty upgrades your clear level.
*Normal is the original campaign difficulty setting.
*Casual difficulty gives all CPU characters regular rolls, considerably lowering the difficulty. Note: does not unlock campaign Achievements.
*Extreme difficulty is for those seeking the ultimate challenge. Prepare to lose your sanity as Poppo hammers you to the ground. Doesn’t give any special reward, though.

– Added Field Event customization:
Field events for each map can now be freely changed in Free Play.
Added Random option for field events in Free Play: this will random any non-duplicate field event (or possibly ‘no event’, if Poppo steals it).

-Voice C volume has been raised to bring it on the same level with other voices.

– Menu performance has been optimized, resulting in shorter loading times when moving between menus. The game may initially load slightly longer.

– Renamed Schiff Robot to Shifu Robot.

Balance:
– All Trap Cards now have 0 cost, allowing for more flexible play with them and removing the issue of experienced players being able to tell from the card’s cost what each trap is when it is played.

Fixes:
– Fixed some card descriptions/quotes that were getting clipped
